There’s a lot of tech-related news to stay on top of. The vast majority of it is noise (or noisy opinions), and if you’re reading one of slashdot, digg, reddit or hacker news you’re not likely to miss a major development, but its easy enough to overlook something awesome that’s about to make a huge difference to your project.
I get anxious about missing stories, so I have a pretty specialized reading flow. The components are as follows:
- Google Reader.
- Reeder for iPad, iPhone and OSX.
- Instapaper for ‘filing’ articles to read later.
Here’s how they come together:
