I’m excited to be added (thanks TT!) to the Pokertracker 4 beta and look forward to getting started with it soon. I’ve been a PT3 user for years and have preferred it to the alternatives for a number of reasons:
- Great customer support — both on 2p2 and their forum. Even when I was undertaking some crazy stuff like running my database on a separate machine and connecting to it from my virtual machine.
- Mac Support — Virtual machines are all find and dandy, but eventually you’re going to run out of headroom, being able to switch back to native is great.
- Reports and HUDs — Over the years I’ve coded and compiled quite a library, the thought of redo-ing these is too much to think about.
Step #1 of getting PT4 fired up is the install process, which I’m somewhat impressed with. It was able to import my hand histories from my local machines and connect to my legacy PT3 database and import those as well:

Probably won’t have a chance to play for a bit, but will be posting some impressions and thoughts when I do.
